Wyk and the Frisian villages
Wyk and the Frisian villages

Föhr has many little centres. Wyk welcomes you with its harbour, shops and waterfront walks. The eleven island villages set a different pace: smaller streets, thatched roofs and plenty of reasons to park your bicycle for a while. Nieblum makes a good first outing. Its St Johannis church, also known as the Frisian Cathedral, is the largest church on the island. Allow time for the village and combine your visit with a walk to the beach. You need not see every village in one day. Pick a few stops and leave room for breaks. The official village guide helps you choose further destinations to suit your accommodation and route.
